200 ml Winered or white

3 tablespoons Tomato puree

3 pcs Garlic cloves

2 tablespoons Red paprika

3 tablespoons Olive oil

4 pcs Bay leaves

1 tablespoon Salt

a pinch Black pepper
Directions
A traditional dish, very common in Zagreb and central part of Croatia.

Cut meat into larger chunks, and season it with salt and black pepper. |

Heat the oil in a pot and fry the meat for a few mins until it turns brown. |

When the meat has browned, add the chopped red onion, sliced carrots, and fry until the onion is softened, then add the chopped garlic. Keep stirring and don’t let it burn. |

Add water, wine, spices, salt, pepper, tomato puree, sweet paprika and bay leaf. Cook until the meat softens. |

By the end, add the peeled and diced potatoes and cook for 20 more minutes. |
